Muireann DuffyA man has died following an assault in Limerick and one man has been arrested. Gardaí responded to reports of an incident at a property on Sarsfield Avenue, Garryowen at around 4.45am on Saturday. Another man, also aged in his 40s, was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda station in Limerick. Those with camera footage, including CCTV and dash-cam recordings, from the Sarsfield Avenue area between 4am and 5.15am on Saturday morning are asked to make it available to gardaí.
